EDRONE Develops DRAKON UAS With In-House Frequency-Hopping System
Ukrainian company EDRONE has developed a new DRAKON unmanned aerial system designed for reconnaissance and surveillance missions.
The company said that one of DRAKON’s key features is its in-house frequency-hopping spread spectrum system.
This allows the drone to carry out missions in environments where electronic warfare (EW) systems are deployed.
The DRAKON has a maximum flight time of 50 minutes. Its cruising speed is 70 km/h, while its maximum speed reaches 100 km/h.
The stated maximum operating altitude is 300 meters.

The guaranteed communication range with the drone is up to 10 km.
The stated maximum flight range is at least 20 km.
The DRAKON has a SIYI ZR-10 camera with 10x optical zoom.
The camera is mounted on a three-axis gimbal that stabilizes the image during flight and target observation.

The drone has a payload capacity of up to 0.5 kg and can operate in winds of up to 12 m/s.
It features a carbon frame reinforced with aluminum joints.
EDRONE previously established production of its own drone components, including frames, motors, propellers, and electronics.
