21st Mechanized Brigade Destroys Russian Armored Vehicles in Sumy Region
The 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade destroyed Russian armored vehicles during a failed mechanized assault on the Ukraine–Russia border in the Sumy region.
The brigade’s press service released a video of the incident.
Russian forces used three armored vehicles fitted with anti-drone protection to transport infantry, but their attempt to reach Ukrainian positions was unsuccessful.
As a result of the clash, the invaders lost several pieces of equipment, which were destroyed by FPV drones from the brigade’s 1st Battalion.
Using terrain identification, an X (Twitter) user, PJ ‘giK,’ determined the location of the Russian defeat at coordinates 51.036241, 35.410349, near the village of Myropillia.
It is worth noting that, according to official information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out one airstrike and conducted 84 attacks on troop positions and populated areas between April 18 and 19, 2026 (two of them using multiple launch rocket systems). Two enemy assault actions were also recorded.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had withdrawn from the settlement of Myropillia in the Krasnopillia community of the Sumy region. It is noted that, under conditions of intense fighting and the enemy’s superiority in forces and resources, Ukrainian units carried out an organized withdrawal to previously prepared positions to preserve personnel, where they continue to hold the defense.
