Ukraine Receives First British Terrahawk Paladin Air-Defence Systems
The 156th Air Defense Missile Regiment of the Ukrainian Air Force has received British Terrahawk Paladin anti-aircraft systems.
User Jeff2146 highlighted the regiment’s published video on his X account.
The system is mounted on a MAN HX chassis, from which it can be quickly unloaded if necessary. The installation also features additional protective screens for the radar.
For reference, the transfer of the Terrahawk systems, developed by MSI Defence Systems, was first reported in October 2023, when the United Kingdom announced a new military aid package. The exact number of delivered units has not been disclosed.
A key feature of the Terrahawk Paladin is its full operational autonomy, along with sensors and systems for detecting, tracking, and destroying air, ground, and maritime targets at short range.
To engage targets, the system uses a cannon whose caliber can be adjusted according to the customer’s requirements. In its standard configuration, the installation is equipped with a 30 mm Mark 44 Bushmaster II cannon, with the option to upgrade to a 40 mm version. Ukraine has received the variant with the 30 mm cannon.

Along with the cannon, the platform is equipped with a fixed radar mast providing 360-degree coverage for detecting low-visibility targets.
