Lithuanian Volunteers Acquire Over 2,000 Drones for Ukraine

Lithuanian volunteers have purchased over two thousand drones to enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The funds were raised through Radarom! charity campaign in February of this year, as reported by LRT.

This initiative brought together the Lithuanian public and businesses in a powerful show of solidarity with Ukraine.

To date, more than €4.4 million has been allocated to support the Ukrainian military. With these funds, 2,609 drones have been procured, and an advance payment has been made for an additional 320 Lithuanian-made drones.

Overall, €2.6 million has been invested in the production of Lithuanian drones, while €1.7 million has been allocated to equip Ukrainian manufacturers.

“Thanks to the people and companies of Lithuania, we can make our contribution to the defense of Ukraine, and that is what matters most. From the very first day of the campaign, we’ve kept our finger on the pulse, continuously monitoring the process and reporting to the public on how donations are being used. Trust is our highest value, so we are committed to acting responsibly and transparently,” Monica Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, CEO of LRT, stated.

The publication noted that initially, drones from Ukrainian manufacturers were in the majority due to faster delivery times. However, the results of Lithuanian manufacturers’ work are now becoming more visible.

LRT organized the third Radarom! charity campaign in collaboration with Blue/Yellow, Laisvės TV, and Stiprūs kartu, from February 3 to 24. During the campaign, residents and companies in Lithuania donated €5,737,028.
