Drones Attack Novocherkassk Power Plant in Rostov Region
On the night of July 23, strike drones targeted the Novocherkassk power plant in Russia’s Rostov region.
The media outlet Astra released photos and videos of the strike’s aftermath.
Based on the visual evidence, one of the drones struck the main building of the plant, causing minor damage. The affected area is situated right next to the railway tracks used by passing trains.
This railway line, in particular, is used to connect the Rostov region with the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, providing the Russian military with a fast way to deliver military equipment to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the Russians are currently restoring railway lines in the temporarily occupied territories, primarily in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
For example, the new railway connection between Rostov-on-Don and Crimea is being laid by the Russians through the occupied territories, including through Berdyansk.
Militarnyi previously reported that soldiers of the Ronin unit from Ukraine’s 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade used FPV drones to strike a Russian fuel train in the occupied Zaporizhia region.
The train was halted and hit on a section of track between the village of Levadne and the city of Molochansk in the Tokmak district.
