Ukrainian Defense Forces Hit Three Msta-S Self-Propelled Artillery Systems in Donetsk Region in Two Days
The units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed three Russian Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems in the Donetsk region in two days.
The press service of the 59th Separate Assault Brigade, the Aeronauts aerial reconnaissance unit, and the 148th Air Assault Artillery Brigade published the relevant videos of the destruction.
The Russian self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed at their combat positions, from where they were firing at Ukrainian defenders.
The first destroyed artillery system was the Msta-S, which was hit by a unit of the 148th Air Assault Artillery Brigade on July 15, 2025, in the village of Velyka Novosilka, the Donetsk region, at coordinates 47.85091, 36.82958.
The enemy artillery system was camouflaged at its position, but this did not save it from being detected by the artillery drone and accurately hit.
The hit caused the powder charges to ignite, resulting in the complete destruction of the system.
The second self-propelled artillery system was destroyed on July 17, 2025, by the Aeronauts aerial reconnaissance unit in a wooded area where the enemy had set up a combat position. From there, the self-propelled artillery system fired at the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The damage occurred near the village of Yasynove, the Donetsk region, at coordinates 48.10291, 37.07061.
The third artillery system was destroyed by an FPV drone on the same day, July 17, by a unit of the 59th Separate Assault Brigade.
The destruction took place near the village of Novoyelizavetivka (Yasynove), the Donetsk region, at coordinates 48.12105, 37.05913.
It should be noted that as of today, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed or damaged more than 250 Msta-S artillery systems, which are currently the main self-propelled artillery of the Russian army.
In addition, Militarnyi recently reported that drones from the Omega Wings detachment managed to detect and destroy a Russian 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery system.
