Winged FPV Quadcopters Begin Attacking Russian Forces
Ukrainian FPV quadcopters equipped with wings have begun attacking Russian forces.
The Russian Rubicon unit recorded one such drone, according to analyst Grandpa Roy.
The wings provide additional lift, allowing the drone to cover greater distances than a standard FPV drone.
“This looks like a very promising and important development in the small drone war,” Grandpa Roy said.
Aerodynamic lift reduces energy consumption in flight, allowing the drone to strike targets deeper behind enemy lines.
The drone was equipped with a PG-7 warhead designed to destroy armored vehicles, fortifications, and personnel.

Russian forces are also developing similar systems. Recently, they presented the KVS fiber-optic FPV drone with a ring-shaped wing.
